What is stored
Anna only keeps what a request needs. If you never use a feature, its data does not exist.
- Chat identity: your WhatsApp number or Telegram ID, voice device ID, and the name you asked to be called.
- Conversation content: text messages, voice notes and their transcripts, photos, documents and links you send.
- Reminders & tasks: schedules, repeating tasks, and things you asked to be watched.
- Connected accounts: apps you allow through their official consent page — for example Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Sheets/Docs, Notion or Slack. Each app has its own permissions, and we never ask for or store their passwords.
- Usage: message counts and model cost per month, to track your quota.
- Technical logs: errors and response times, to fix what breaks.
Why it is stored
- To do what you asked, now.
- To keep the conversation connected, so you don't repeat context every time.
- To send the reminders and reports you scheduled yourself.
- To track quota and usage cost.
- To help when you report something broken.
Who can see it
The Anna team is small. Access to chat content is limited to those who need it: answering your report, fixing a bug, or meeting a legal obligation. It is never sold or shared with advertisers.
To produce replies, your message is processed by an AI model provider and supporting services (account integrations, WhatsApp delivery, memory search, hosting). They process data only to run that service, under their own terms. You can ask for the list of providers via the contact below.
Connector access & deleting any time
Connections to third-party apps — for example Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Sheets/Docs, Notion or Slack, plus your own WhatsApp — can only be used from your account. You connect each app one at a time through its official consent page, so we only get the permissions you tick there. No other user can open, read, use or see them.
You can delete them any time, one by one: revoke access in the original account's settings (e.g. Google) or ask us to disconnect it, say "forget ..." so a single note is no longer used, or ask in the chat to have your chat history or your whole account deleted for good. No waiting, no contract.
Encryption and data separation
Data between your phone or device and Anna's server travels over an encrypted connection (TLS). On the server, each account is stored separately: every user has their own workspace and files (a sandbox), and each row is tagged with its account, so nothing mixes between users.
How long it is kept
- Chat history: until you ask us to delete it. /new only starts a new conversation; the older history is kept.
- Memory: until you ask us to delete it. A fact you ask to forget or correct is no longer used, but stays as a change history until deleted.
- Attachment notes, so a reply about a file still makes sense: 90 days.
- Follow-up activity on your own WhatsApp, if you turn that feature on: 14 days.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete it. After that it is removed from the live database.
What you can do
- See your memory: ask "what does Anna remember about me?". Say "forget ..." so it is no longer used.
- Start a new conversation: type /new.
- Disconnect an account: revoke access in the original account's settings, e.g. Google, or ask us to disconnect it.
- Ask for a copy or delete the account: message the official number or DM our co-founder.
- Stop: just stop chatting. Nothing bills you on its own.
Children
Anna is not a service for anyone under 18 without a parent's permission. If you believe a child's data was submitted without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this page changes, the date above changes with it. Important changes will be announced in the chat.
Who is behind Anna
Anna is built by a small team that also builds AI products for banking in Southeast Asia. That background is why we are strict about data separation and security.
